JFK: Good day Jim.
Jim: Good day Jack and I bid you welcome in the light and love of mother father God.
JFK: Thank you and I thank the ones who have joined us this morning in an effort to continue this dialogue. I would like to briefly say to LaTonya that I am pleased to see that she has rejoined us this morning. Her energy and her thoughts are of great benefit to me for it does keep me balanced and focused in a direction that I often overlook. I thank you for that. It is difficult sometimes as an old politician to view the events that have taken place in this wonderful country and not become alarmed. I understand that we must look forward. It is not in the best interest nor is it possible to return to what was. Only to chart a course for today and the days that will follow. Challenges exist at this time that I did not face and it is important for me to keep that in perspective.
On a subject that I believe probably has had everyone in the room somewhat curious is how I perceive the events in North Korea. As I mentioned briefly the other evening, this is not be to viewed with alarm. This is merely a rogue leader shaking his fists instead of saying, “I need help.” What will be interesting to watch are the reactions of those in Asia. I believe that there can actually be some unification in thought springing from these recent events. While it is highly unlikely that the United States, China, and Japan will ever become allies together, I believe that the events in North Korea will serve to balance the alliance between Russia and China in a way that will ultimately be less threatening to the United States.
The events in Israel at this time are of much greater concern to me for I see much aggression on that part of Israel. The United States has aligned itself quite strongly with the Israeli leadership and their recent acts of aggression have cast a negative shadow on both countries. There are many at this time in the Middle East who will see this as an additional reason for terrorist activity both in Israel and in the United States. Because of the openness of this country, terror cells are forming quickly. Much as the news of late has demonstrated that our intelligence is improving, there is still cause for concern. At this time, the desire is still among the terrorists to make a big boom to kill however many innocent people happen to be in the area at the time. This of course is disturbing. It is important to understand that the next step beyond that is one of global concern and that is the use of biological weapons. The reason at this time the terrorist activity has geared away from this has been the last of instantaneous result and this is saving grace. I see that the energy in the United Nations has waned considerably. It may be time to reconsider how business is transacted. My friends we have moved into a world of global economy, global commerce, and indeed of global threats. People around the planet have chosen it. They have when possible, participated in free elections, but they have not chosen wisely. I think now more so than any time within the last decade, people are beginning to recognize this. They are beginning to learn that their lack of paying attention has put them in a position of far less strength.
John Edwards having failed in his bid for the Democratic nomination in the last Presidential election is again moving out into the population with messages not unlike those of my brother Bobby, about healing the people of the United States. I urge all of you to watch and see what happens. You may find some seeds planted that will bring great hope once again to this wonderful country.
I was enthused recently with the successful launch of the space shuttle. I believe that the technology involved in the space program provides great benefit to this country and to places around the world even though the need to actually go into outer space is far less of a challenge than it was 40 years ago. Technology to improve water supply, technology to provide shelter from heat and cold, medical breakthroughs, all of these things my friends are huge steps forward not only for the United States but also for men and women around the world. I know many have said of late why continue to reach for outer space when there is so much here that needs attention and I know my friend Jim you have made that comment on many occasions. There is a good reason. For the greatest minds in Science are motivated by reaching for the unknown. Alternative fuels have taken a great leap forward because of mistakes that have been made in the space program. There is far more here my friends that what meets the eye.
LaTonya: I also wonder that if in exploring in space we were to run across other life forms through that exploration, I sometimes think that would help the masses on Earth to view their existence as more unified in terms of it not being just our country and other countries but being us because there is something else outside of us on the planet Earth.
JFK: LaTonya, I couldn’t agree with you more. The reality however, is that those other life forms are much more likely to reach us before we will reach them. Unbeknownst to me while I was your President, there are many other civilizations in other solar systems around the Universe that support life. There are some that support life forms that you would find difficult to differentiate from your own. There are others of course that are different and they will be approaching this planet in the near future. It is my guess that such contact may even be the catalyst for the great changes that some perceive are coming in the year 2012. Time will tell and I watch eagerly with every one of you to see how this will unfold.
Jim: Yes, it is interesting that in this morning’s paper there are over 19 bills in the Arizona ballot this year, more than there have ever been before. Even the legislatures can’t decide on what to do with the State.
JFK: The reason that there is so much more coming to the ballot is that in Arizona, not unlike many other states, leadership has begun to understand that they have lost touch with their constituents. You cannot properly govern a state without the input of its citizens. Government has become unfortunately, very much an “us and them” situation. We need to begin to unify the “us” and “them”.
Jim: Yes, it appears in articles I’ve read that the lobbyists have almost virtual control of the legislature. They write the bills and how easy it is and how nice it must be to write a bill that is 100% in your favor.
JFK: And many of those bills that are being presented in the legislature right now, particularly those in Arizona, are those that merit concern. For they seek to further disenfranchise certain segments of the population. There is much legislation proposed that will dramatically impact the needs of the serious mentally ill, the needs of the educational process for the children, and of course the issue of how we deal with immigration. My friends, you have to begin to make your voices heard. And like you LaTonya have said, that doesn’t necessarily mean direct political involvement. But speak of your concerns, speak of what’s in your hearts, speak those things that impact you to those who listen. You may not choose to be the one to contact your legislators, to contact the White House, but perhaps you will touch the heart of someone who has the ear of someone. Remember, as you have said many times LaTonya, we are all one. We are all connected. So, if we all, as a race of human beings, begin to raise our voices in regard to what is important to us, change can take place.
Jim: And this is exactly what took place in the later 50’s in the movement of the South to allow the disenfranchised, still virtual slaves, to vote. And it was during your administration we then started taking a stand.
JFK: And while Jim I know that that was some good work on the part of many, some brave work on the part of many others, it was very easy then to look at a given segment of society as being disenfranchised. My friends, so many of you, and more so than ever, are disenfranchised. We now do not have one segment of society, we have disenfranchisement in all levels of society.
How difficult, if I can pause for a moment and plant some seeds of my own, do each of you find it to afford quality medical and dental care? How difficult do you find it to be able to eat a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables that are not chemically treated and not so grossly expensive that the average family cannot afford enough of them (fruits and vegetables that is) to really sustain their families? How many of you are glued to sale flyers from your respective grocery stores because you realize that your budgets will not allow you to buy things of substance for your diets unless you can buy them on sale? How many of you are comfortable with the education that is being afforded to the youngest members of society? Are they truly being prepared to be the leaders of tomorrow? How many of our honored older citizens are being forced to sacrifice everything they’ve worked for their entire lives to provide for their family in order to live as virtual prisoners in uncaring poorly staffed nursing homes? My friends, the American people are the disenfranchised. Raise your voices, raise your hearts, reach for the stars, those stars in the American flag. Remember that each of us is connected to our neighbors, both here and across the seas and remember that we can all make a difference.
Jim: Thank you for that.
JFK: I guess I did it again, didn’t I?
LaTonya: It was much appreciated Jack.
Jessica: No, it was very nice.
JFK: It is a bit of a heavy thought but it is a very real thought my friends because the American people as a whole are now disenfranchised. It is no longer the African American population, or the Asian population, or the Mexican population or the Native American population. It is the American population that is suffering. Find the leaders that will heal this country. They’re there, they are waiting for people such as you to get behind them, support them, drop their names in conversations and make other people aware. Most people under the age of 30 never turn on the news. They do not listen to what is going on in the world.
You can help to redirect what is going on. You can make a difference. Don’t let anyone in government or otherwise make you believe that you are powerless to effect change in this country. Remember the strength of each of you. Remember the strength that comes in the energy that you bring to your gatherings when you do your healing circles on Tuesday evenings and yes I am with you every Tuesday. Remember how very, very important each of you can be in educating and in healing the fabric of this country. My friends I thank you more than you know for being who you are and I humbly thank each and every one of you for listening to my messages and taking to heart what you feel is important.
Jim: We thank you for being here and thank you for your insights. We will do everything we can to get as many people involved.
JFK: If I do nothing else from where I am that will be my greatest achievement. My friends I will leave you for today for I know that each of you has many things of much importance lying ahead. I thank you again and look forward to the next time.
Jim: Thank you for being here Jack and wherever you go may the light and blessings of mother father God journey with you.
JFK: And with you. God bless America!
Jim: Thank you. |
